At Holy Family, our Usher Ministry plays a vital role in helping parishioners and visitors feel the warmth and hospitality of Christ from the moment they walk through our doors. Ushers greet, guide, and assist the assembly so that everyone can participate fully and prayerfully in the Mass.
This ministry blends service and liturgical support, creating a calm and reverent environment where the focus remains on worship and the presence of God.
What Ushers Do
Ushers serve the parish community by:
Offering a friendly welcome and warm presence
Helping individuals and families find seating
Assisting the clergy and assembly when needs arise
Supporting the smooth flow of the liturgy
Staying attentive while remaining unobtrusive
Providing aid during special events and Holy Days
Though the tasks are simple, the ministry is thoughtful and meaningful. Ushers serve with humility, attentiveness, and a desire to help others encounter God more deeply.
Who Can Serve?
We welcome parishioners of all ages (youth through adults) who:
Have a generous, welcoming spirit
Can commit to serving regularly (weekly or monthly)
Are dependable and attentive during Mass
Desire to serve God by serving His people
Whether you’re comfortable helping every week or only once a month, we truly need you. Every volunteer strengthens our ability to serve the parish well.
