The Visit of the Poong Jesús Nazareno
A Historic Week of Prayer & Devotion at Holy Family Parish
April 18–25, 2026
Holy Family Parish, Orange, CA
We are deeply blessed to welcome the Poong Jesús Nazareno (The Black Nazarene) to Holy Family Parish for the first time in our parish history.
This sacred, centuries‑old image of Christ—deeply venerated throughout the Philippines and around the world—invites the faithful to reflect on Christ’s suffering, perseverance, mercy, and enduring love. The visit of the Poong is a powerful opportunity for prayer, healing, and spiritual renewal during the Easter Season.
All parishioners, families, and visitors are warmly invited to participate throughout the week.
About the Devotion
The devotion to the Black Nazarene dates back to the 1600s and has long been associated with deep faith, sacrifice, and hope. Millions of faithful honor the Poong each year, seeking strength, healing, and a closer relationship with Christ.
Hosting this sacred image is a rare blessing for our parish and an opportunity to unite in prayer as one faith community.
