The Lector Ministry at Holy Family is seeking new members who feel called to proclaim Sacred Scripture during our Sunday liturgies. Lectors help the community encounter God’s living Word in a clear, prayerful, and reverent way. If you feel a stirring in your heart to serve, we invite you to consider this beautiful ministry.
What Makes a Strong Lector?
A Lector strives to:
Read clearly, confidently, and with reverence
Love Scripture and desire to grow in love with the lord
Pray with and practice each reading before Mass
Share the Word of God with the parish community as an act of service
Minimum Requirements
For candidates to serve as a Lector:
Fully Initiated Catholic
Registered Parishioners of Holy Family
Complete the Diocesan background check
Love for the Word of God
A recognizable charism for proclaiming the Word
