Our Lady at the Center

AROUND OUR DIOCESE: “Our Lady at the Center,” the documentary about Our Lady of La Vang and the shrine made in her honor at Christ Cathedral, has been recognized by the Cannes Film Awards in France and the Christian Faith, Hope, and Love Screening Competition and Film Festival in Arizona.

At Cannes, it has been named a 2026 Jury Selection and advances to the next level of awards. The Christian Faith, Hope, and Love Screening Competition has named it an official selection and nominee. The festival is a “celebration of cinematic storytelling that explores and celebrates the diverse facets of faith, spirituality and the human experience.”

“Our Lady at the Center” premiered last year. It is co-presented by the Diocese of Orange and OLLV Foundation.

“We are honored that our film has continued to grow in reach and audience, being recognized now at several film festivals,” said Dr. Elysabeth Nguyen, executive producer of the film and CEO of the OLLV Foundation. “It really is a testament of faith and the many hardworking, devoted people who made ‘Our Lady at the Center’ happen, as well as the entire La Vang shrine project at Christ Cathedral.”

“Our Lady at the Center,” which has English and Vietnamese versions, is available for private and parish screenings. Contact the OLLV Foundation at (714) 282-4290.
