Let us together make something beautiful for God.

In recent times, the Church in the United States, guided by the Holy Spirit, has moved to enkindle within the hearts of the faithful a deeper love, a greater respect, a more fervent devotion for the Holy Eucharist.

This aspiration translates partly into the movement of returning the tabernacle to the center of the sanctuary.  Holy Family will soon take part in this Eucharistic movement at the encouragement of Bishop Kevin Vann.  A new tabernacle generously donated by a family in the parish will be placed at the heart of our sanctuary.

A natural part of love is to give to the beloved the best one can give.  The Church has constructed magnificent edifices for God throughout the centuries as an expression of love for God.  Indeed, the Lord Jesus came from heaven to earth in a humble manger and lived in poverty throughout his earthly life.  But those who follow him cannot resist the natural urge of love to insist that he no longer lives in animal sheds but in the most beautiful houses they are able to build.

With these noble thoughts, here at Holy Family, the new tabernacle will be enthroned in a reredos designed specifically for it.

The actual renovation will not begin until an approval is received by the Diocesan Liturgical Committee, the Diocesan Construction Board (for approval), and enough donations have been received for the project.  Funds will be solicited from generous private donors who wish to contribute to something beautiful for God.  Every parishioner is invited to add to the effort.
