Discipleship Quads?

If you answered, “Yes” to any of the questions above then a Discipleship Quad may be just what you are looking for. A Discipleship Quad is a group of four people who journey together as disciples through weekly gatherings of fellowship, ongoing conversion, and learning. A Quad can be made up of people at any level of spiritual maturity, from long-time, committed Catholics to those who are just beginning their spiritual journey with Jesus. This 12-month path of accompaniment fosters growth through prayer, accountability, and authentic relationships using materials carefully crafted by Franciscan University of Steubenville that guide you along the journey.
The benefit of a Discipleship Quad is knowing the love of Jesus Christ and deepening a relationship with Him. Those who have experienced that love and made the decision to follow Christ would never go back to a life without Him. As part of a Discipleship Quad, you will get to learn with and from others, pray for and with one another, and share life with those who will become good friends, in an otherwise incredibly busy and complicated world
How much does this cost? NOTHING! The Quad materials are free to download so there is no cost to you. You can purchase hard copies on Amazon if you prefer for as little as $5 per book.
How much time does it take? The materials will help you prepare for your weekly meeting and should take you no more that 5-10 minutes a day to work through. Your weekly meeting can be anywhere form 60-90 minutes long. You will meet approximately 40 times during the year.
Why a quad? Extensive research has been done that has determined that a group of four is the ideal number for this type of faith study/sharing group. It provides for intimate connections, gives everyone the opportunity to contribute and makes finding a place to meet simple. The data is clear as the Quads have over three decades of success behind them.
Why four men or four women? This is another finding that the research has uncovered. Same sex groups tend to report greater effectiveness, a higher degree of openness and fewer communication issues. Both men and women share more easily with those of the same sex.
Where do we meet? The Quad decides. It could be in a member’s home, a coffee shop, a park, etc… Wherever the group is most comfortable meeting. You can even have members that are travelling join electronically using one of the variety of tools available today.
How do I find my Quad partners? Prayer, Prayer, Prayer… Finding quad partners is probably the thing that holds most people back. You don’s need to know your partners and, if you allow Him, the Holy Spirit will guide you in determining who to invite.
